Helping Your Child’s Recovery – One Step at a Time
We’re offering a free, therapist-led neurorehabilitation programme, delivered online, for children and young people (up to age 19) across the UK who are recovering from a brain tumour.

What is Neurorehabilitation?
Neurorehabilitation helps the brain heal after injury. Through guided activities and therapy, it supports children to re-learn everyday skills like walking, concentrating, and remembering. It’s gentle, structured, and designed around your child’s individual needs.
Thanks to the generosity of our funders, this pioneering service is completely free to families.

About the Programme
This innovative programme is delivered in partnership with ReAbility Online, using a therapist-led, video and game-based platform developed by Sheba Hospital in Israel. Each participant receives a personalised plan from a trained therapist, who monitors progress and adjusts support as needed.

Why It Matters
The Success Digital Therapy Programme helps to complete the cure.
Each year, children recovering from brain tumours face significant rehabilitation needs that are not fully met by NHS services. Many are left with long-term effects such as:
Fatigue
Muscle weakness
Learning difficulties
Mobility and coordination challenges
Our programme helps to bridge this gap.
A 2020 pilot study showed that the Success Digital Therapy Programme is both practical and effective. All six children who took part:
Reported improvements in at least two out of three personalised therapy goals
Said they would recommend the programme to others
The more the children practiced, the greater the benefits they experienced.
Parents were also overwhelmingly positive — all said they would continue with the programme, even if it were a private service. The findings show that families who are motivated and have basic access to technology at home find this kind of support valuable, easy to use, and highly worthwhile.
With regular, engaging, and tailored sessions delivered wherever there’s a broadband connection, our Digital Therapy Programme supports recovery and helps children thrive.

Key Features of the Programme
Participants can expect a combination of engaging, personalised activities, designed to maximise therapeutic outcomes:
Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy
Carefully developed exercises to build strength, improve posture, support balance, and encourage confident movement. Activities are tailored to each child’s needs and delivered through fun, game-based technology that also supports cognitive development.
Weekly One-to-One Therapy Sessions
A qualified therapist meets with each participant weekly via live video to track progress and adjust activities in line with the goals set earlier in the programme. These sessions help keep participants motivated and ensure steady progress through expert guidance and encouragement.
Self-Guided Practice
Participants complete daily solo sessions using the online platform. These are customised to reinforce specific skills. Data from these sessions is monitored by the therapist, who can adjust difficulty levels to suit individual progress and ensure an appropriate level of challenge.
Cognitive Development Exercises
Targeted games and tasks support key cognitive skills such as memory, attention, and planning — all crucial to success in school and everyday life.
