New Workshop – Social Benefits

New Workshop – Social Benefits

You are invited to our FREE July Workshop

Date and time:

Thursday 21st July, 4.00p.m.

Who is leading the workshop?

Our July webinar is hosted by Philip Runciman

Philip worked for the Department for Work & Pensions for 22 years working in various areas and dealing with a multitude of benefits and debt recovery, before joining Nestor. He now deals with all benefit inquiries on behalf of Nestor, encompassing JobCentre Plus, The Pension Service, HM Customs and Revenues and local authorities. I provide various services, from comprehensive benefit reviews, to appeals and representation at tribunals.

Discussion will focus around what welfare benefits (state and non-state) are available to all survivors of brain tumours and their families, how they might apply the process and what the appeals process might look like.

Who should attend?

This workshops is  is an opportunity to better understand eligibility (understanding what you are entitled too and what you aren’t) against the formal state benefits as well as other informal (state) benefits. The process and how to appeal against decisions that those who are brain injured are entitled too is also included.

Particpants will also be able to better understand the circumstances where claiming credit only benefits might be beneficial e.g. There are instances where benefits should be applied for even if monetary reimbursement is not required/people do not wish to apply for financial support as this can open-up other avenues of support or make transitions easier in the future.
