Research request

Sarah Hester is a doctoral student at the University of Exeter. Sarah’s supervisors are Dr Dr Jenny Limond and A/Prof Anna Adlam who are great friends and supporters of Success.

Sarah is researching an intervention to support young people/adults, who have had a paediatric brain tumour with executive functions and experience difficulties with skills such as problem-solving, short-term memory and organisation. This research is aimed at helping those people to attain their goals and manage difficulties experienced in everyday life.

If this sounds like you, or someone you are supporting, then could you help Sarah with her research, which could benefit many people?

What is involved?

Sarah explains, “there will be 3 or 4 online sessions, which would be approximately 30 minutes in length and occur weekly. In between sessions, the intervention will be supported by the digital system, Brain In Hand. After the sessions, there would be additional meeting individually, with a parent or in a group with other young people piloting the intention (depending on their preference) to gather some feedback about it.”

As a token of  appreciation the team are offering each young person/adult who participates a £10 gift voucher.
