We are delighted to announce that our first cohort of Peer Mentors are now half way through their course and well on the way to becoming accredited Peer Mentors.
The online training is being provided by Young People Matter, a UK charity with extensive experience of running the ‘Effective Mentoring’ course.
We are hugely grateful to the National Lottery Local Connections Fund who are funding the training.
The course will run till mid May 2021, after which, our mentors will be awarded a recognised peer mentorship qualification under the ASDAN scheme. From this point we will be able to launch our new Peer Mentoring programme, matching mentors with other survivors of childhood brain tumours. Watch this space for more details!
